Design our Logo

NLPRS needs your help.  For too long we have been using stock images for our banners and headers, which has been perfectly fine.  However, there is no acceptable way to take that image and have it placed on a t-shirt, or even made into a decal for equipment use.

And that is where you come in.

We need a logo.  Something simple, but eye catching.  Something that fits in with what we are about, while maintaining a professional look and feel.  The submission guidelines and logo requirements are listed below.

**And for the record, I am using logo and emblem interchangeably.  All times mentioned are Central times.

• Submissions will be taken from now until 2400 July 19 (that's midnight, folks).  Any submissions after that time will be disgarded.
  
• All submissions need to be sent to nlprs.wi@gmail.com so that the images, in turn, can be posted anominously.  Images must be submitted in jpg (or jpeg) is format.  Please include a valid email address in the event we need to contact you.
  
• The logo colors are to be black and green, with black being the background and green the image.  If you are submitting a drawn image / an image that is not colored in, that is fine; just keep the coloring in mind when designing.
  
• It must maintain a "professional" look and feel.  No sasquatch standing before a moon, no ghosts, no flying disks.  Although that is what we are about, most people may not take such an image seriously.
  
• The words "NLPRS" or "Northern Lights Paranormal Research Society" may be incorporated in the design or layout, but that is not necessary.
  
• The logo must be recognizable from a variety of sizes, ranging from business cards to a magnetic car decal.
  
• Keep it simple.  Most recognized logos and emblems are simple; no need for a detailed stencil image.
  
• You do not have to be a registered member to submit an entry.  All persons are eligible to enter.  If you know someone who would be up to the task, let them know!
  
• You can enter as many submissions as you want.
  
• I will be picking the three finalists.  Those three images will then be posted on this thread, as well as on our facebook page, on Monday July 22.
  
• The winning entry will be chosen by the number of "likes" it receives on Facebook, as well as the number of votes it receives on our forum.  Voting will end at noon on Friday July 26.  The forum poll will then be closed, and the images removed from Facebook.  The winner will be announced later that afternoon.
  
• The designer of the winning entry will win a t-shirt with our new design on it, as well as being credited on our various sites.
  
• It should be understood by all participants that any image is the intellectual property if its designer.  Furthermore, it should be understood by the winning designer that the image becomes property of NLPRS, to be used for business related purposes.  By submitting an entry, you admit to having read the submission guidelines, and agree to the terms.
